The Bangz

The Bangz is a all girl group from Californa. They are associated with the New Boyz. So being a fan of the New Boyz I was able to come across The Bangz. The Bangz are a very different but unique girl group. They are also associated with the whole Jerkin Movement..actually one of their songs "Boys With Tattoos" (ABOVE) gives that whole jerkin vibe to be exact. I seen the video for their song "Found My Swagg" and noticed that only one girl of the duo was missing. I grew curious as to why she wasn't in the video and why former performance footage was put into place to include her. So me being me I decided to do my research. Then I learned that Ella Ann (the young lady with short hair) was shot in the neck in September 2009 & she almost lost her life. She had to undergo serveral surgeries just for her to have a second chance at life. I'd seen videos with her going through therepy where she has to learn to walk, talk & move all over again. I commend Sabi (the young lady with the long hair) for being there for her group member and holding the group down. She has been doing promos, shows, videos, etc. all on her own. I picked to post "Boys With Tattoos" because that was the song that got this group their big break. Also because this is the only music video of theirs where both members are active. They also have the video for "Found My Swagg" & "First Girl On The Moon". Both without Ella Ann due to her situation. In fact Ella Ann's first public appearence can be seen at the end of the "First Girl On The Moon" video. I hope Ella Ann returns soon because there is so much they have to do. If you guys want to read more on Ella Anna's incident go to: http://bit.ly/cxK36g GOOD LUCK TO THE BANGZ♥

Music Video: T.I. ft. Keri Hilson "Got Your Back"

I LOVE♥ this song so much...I've been playing this song non-stop the last few months. When the video finally came out I was so so so so happy & I watched it every hour it came on the day it premiered. Sounds kinda crazy but I'm a feen for GOOD MUSIC! Keri Hilson may of over did it a little in her solo performance. It's okay though...she's Keri Hilson she can do that. T.I has returned and taken his place. Plus the end with him & Tiny is so cute. I hope to have a relationship like their's some day...but enjoy! (=

Gives Me The Chills

Over the summer I said that I was going to test myself, and push myself vocal wise. I decided to assgin myself four songs. With those four songs I would learn them and make them my own when singing them. Out of those four songs I chose two Chaka Khan songs. One being "Through the Fire". It only took me a week to learn the song. The only hard part is to make the song my own. I listened to the original recorded verison several times, I even sung along with it. That was not enough because singing it the way I hear it is not always  the best way. I even started to cry (smh...I know) because it was getting to hard. It's still too hard in fact. I decided to watch different videos of Chaka Khan singing the song herself. Every video I watched she sung the song differently. There was not one video I found that sounded like the previous one I had watched. This video above in particular gave me chills. The way she is capable of going up the octive and remaining there is amazing. Her adlibs were amazing as well. I really hope you guys enjoyed watchig this particular performance as much as I did. Watching it just motivated me to keep trying. Maybe one of these days I can finally put together a perfect arrangement of this song.

KIM BURELL! That should be enough said. When I seen her perform this song for Whitney Houston I literally started crying. Not regualr crying, but I was balling with the sniffles and all. So when you listen to this you might want to have a tissue with you. WARNING!!!!

Chris Brown's BET Awards Performance

Okay so it's been like four days since Chris Brown did his special Micheal Jackson tribute on the 2010 BET Awards. I myself say I was about to cry when I seen him on the stage. For two different reasons. One because he was finally back on stage being embraced and cheered on for his talents. Instead of being exiled and looked down upon by many people like he has been for the last year and a half. I myself began to get a little emotional because I guess as an aspiring singer its just good to see someone do so well and reach their highest peak. Like come on I can watch how far some one has come and finally achieves their goals on television real or not and become proud of that person and get emotional. Majority of the time its real situations, but still its good to see someone do good. I also became a little emotional because its Chris Brown doing a tribute to his idol Micheal Jackson. So when u see him crying and huffing and puffing on stage why not get emotional. The whole point of this post though is to express how annoying its becoming to turn on the television or visit websites (theybf.com by the way I go on everyday love it) and see how people are yet again tryna bring him down by saying he is faking. I just want to know why would Chris Brown fake cry during his tribute. We all knew how big of a Micheal Jackson fan he was from the minute he hit the music scene. Due to his issues in the past he wasn't able to display the tribute that he wanted to do. I heard on E! that it was said that his body guard gave him drops to make him cry. Don't you think the drops would of dried out by the time he reached "Man in the Mirror" during his tribute like was he not jumping all around the stage before that song. I don't think drops make u huff and puff. Honestly I just think the whole situation is real dumb. Then again we live in a world where half the population is brainwashed by what others say. I think he's suffered enough. His career has been at risk long enough. Too many other things outside the music industry has interferd with the industry long enough to over shadow the talent. Thats why half the music thats put out today is has no meaning and won't even be memorable for the next generation to enjoy and learn from. Chris Brown needs to be embraced and looked at for his talents. People need to stop fronting and have their own minds and recognize the real. They all know before the whole Rihanna situation they could not get enough of him. I know Chris Brown wasn't faking, I know he put his heart into that performance. I know Micheal Jackson would of been proud of him. As long as he satisfied Micheal the rest don't matter. POINT BLANK!
