New Music: "Open Road (I Love Her)"

Chris Brown has a new record that has hit the internet this week entited "Open Road (I Miss Her)". I'm not sure on any information on this song. Appearently this song is yet another leaked track and may possibly be on his next album Fortune. However I leanred that he may do this song at this years VMA's, which I highly doubt. I don't know nothing, but all I know is this track is hot.

New Videos: "Body 2 Body"/ "Quickie"/ "Far Away"

Yesterday Ace Hood's new video for his third single "Body 2 Body" off of his third studio album Blood, Sweat, & Tears was released. When I first heard this song on the radio I already knew it would be another hit like his first two singles "Hustle Hard" and "Go N Get It". What made me love this song was Chris Brown's vocals on the chorus and bridge, and the beat itself. It kind of reminded me of Ace Hood's single "Ride or Die" featuring Trey Songz off of his sophomore album Ruthless. I began to like the song even more when the video was released yesterday because it's just something about Chris Brown that just makes you melt.

The next video comes from Miguel, his third single "Quickie" has become everyone's favorite. So the video soon became highly demanded. This single is from Miguels debut album All I Want Is You, which was released late last year.

The final video comes from Tyga, who is currently headling the Closer to My Dreams Tour. He just released another mixtape, Well Done 2. At the same time he is gearing up for his second studio album Careless World. "Far Away" featuring Chris Richardson is the first single off of that album and I expressed my like for the song in a new music post a few months ago. Now the video is finally here. The concept of the video is similar to the concept of his video for "Reminded" featuring Adele off of his mixtape Black Thoughts Vol.2. It makes me wonder who was Tyga's real life love that he lost some time ago.

Throwback Thursday: Ciara- "Like A Boy"

This weeks throwback song is "Like A Boy" from Ciara's sophomore album Ciara: The Evolution, which was released in December 2006. The video for this song was released in early 2007. I believe that this has to be one of Ciara's best videos because the dancing was just plain crazy. When I first seen the video I was literally left in awe. Ciara did an excellent job at displaying the result of a woman taking on a man's role. Now a days a lot of females do act like boys, causing a lot of males to be very sensative. I've witnessed it myself first hand. Lols! Ciara recently was able to get out of her deal with LaFace Records, and she is now signed to Epic Records.

Throwback Tuesday: Kelly Rowland- "Like This"

I don't know how this was possible, but I forgot to do a Throwback Thursday last week. Thankfully I have the perfect song to make up for it, not to mention it's Tuesday so it kind of goes hand in hand with the word throwback like Thursday does (because they all start with the letter "T" lols)

The throwback song for today is "Like This" off of Kelly Rowland's second studio album Ms. Kelly. The album was released back in 2007, with "Like This" as the leading single. It is personally my favorite Kelly Rowland song, and also one of her first big hits as a solo artist. The song was produced by popular producer Polow da Don, and the song features female rapper Eve. I say this song is the perfect song for the throwback of the day because today her third studio album Here I Am is now in stores. The album features her #1 single "Motivation" featuring Lil Wayne, and her second single "Lay It On Me" featuring Big Sean. Everyone make sure you go pick up a copy and support Kelly Rowland.

I thought I would also post a video of Kelly Rowland singing "Bad Habit" off of the Destiny Fulfilled album, this song is my favorite off of the entire album

R.I.P Amy Winehouse

I really hate when I have to do another R.I.P post, because I know once again the music world has suffered yet another lost of a great musician. This post in particular I kind of feel guilty for doing because it seems as though people are no longer important or worth mentioning until their actually dead. That is something that I  really hate about this world. Many know Amy Winehouse as the British singer with the beehive hair do, soulful melo voice, that sung about not attending rehab. However her music was more than that, those who knew more than one song from her knows that she expressed all of her trials and tribulations through her music. Like her song "Back to Black" for example. Although I never really mentioned Amy Winehouse on the regular I am still a fan. When someone has such an amazing voice, and actually does something great with it I am forever a fan. It's no secret that she was constantly in the media more for alcohol and drug abuse, opposed to her contribution to the music world. I mean she won five grammy's for her album Back to Black, and set the record for taking home the most grammy's by a female artist in one night back in 2007. I personally would have killed to get in the position she was in, sadly her life had to end only after 27 years. The cause of her death is currently still unknown, and some people are suspecting it to be a drug overdose. I don't know what it is, but my heart still goes out to her family because in the end a life was still lost. Regardless of all the negative I believe that respects should be paid and wishes of her finally resting in peace should be made. With that being said I wish that she is now resting in peace, and I know she for sure will not be forgotten.

One of the biggest teen stars Keke Palmer is back with a new single entitled "The Greatest". She is currently signed to Interscope Records. She is preparing to release her sophomore album, with the "The Greatest" and her other single "Walls Come Down" officially on iTunes for download. Both songs were also featured to this seasons Degrassi.

K'La

It's been a minute since I've done a new artist post, but when ever I do one it's always about an artist that is a great addition to the music industry. This time I am here to talk about new Def Jam artist K'La. I first heard of K'La when her video for her hit single "All Your Love" was a new joint on 106 & Park. I automatically fell in love with the song because number one it samples Bob Marley and the Wailers song "Turn the Lights Down". Also because I really found her voice to be very melo and calming. However, when I heard her rap that's when I was sold. It turns out that K'La has always wanted a musical career, but not as a singer. She always had dreams of being a rapper, but when her manager told her she had a great voice she decided to take on both rapping and singing. Two years ago she  moved to Atlanta from Gary, Indiana to persue her music career. While in Atlanta she met the CEO of Music Line, after performing for him she was signed to the label last summer. The single mother of two currently has her mixtape The Coldest Winter Ever, out which features "All Your Love". After watching and reading a few interviews with K'La I learned that all she is trying to do is speak the truth through her music, and she is going to tell her audience the truth without candy coating anything.
