ALBUM RELEASE DAY: No Boys Allowed/ Calling All Hearts

Everyone knows that I have been waiting for this day to come. If you didn't know how much of a big fan I am of Keri Hilson, I am here to tell you now that I ♥ ♥ ♥ her. I may seem a little extreme right now, but I'm just happy that Keri Hilson was able to make it to her sophomore album. I will admit I don't have my copy yet, but it was the first thing on my Christmas list. On Christmas day that will be the first thing I look for under my Christmas tree. The songs that I have heard from the album I like so far. I'm anxious to hear what other kinds of songs this album holds. Every song that I know from this album so far has been posted on this blog. Except for a song called "One Night Stand" featuring Chris Brown (which I will post soon). The only song that is not on the album is "Still A Girl". I cannot wait to get my copy, and see the first week numbers for this album.

NO BOYS ALLOWED PROMO PICS:

UPDATE: It's been a week since the album has been released and I decided to go and check all the media sites and see what people have to say NOW that the album is out. Just like I predicted everyone has nothing but good things to say. There are people who are saying the songs on the album relate perfectly to their situation, or they just love the music in general even if it doesn't relate to their situation. It seems that "Beautiful Mistake" is a lot of people's favorite. I will be doing a new music post soon with the song being apart of it.

NOW THATS WHAT YOU CALL A PERFORMER, WHEN SHE GOES ON TOUR I WILL CERTAINLY BE THERE!

Also today in stores is Keyshia Cole's fourth studio album Calling All Hearts. The leading singles off of this album is "I Ain't Through" ft.Nicki Minaj and "Long Way Down". I recommend that people go get this album and support Keyshia Cole, based on the songs I've heard I don't think she has lost her touch and she is back to redeem her spot.

R.I.P Magnolia Shorty

Like Messy Mya, Magnolia Shorty was an up and coming bounce music artist from New Orleans. Like Messy Mya she was murdered as well. She was signed to Cash Money Records in the 1990's, and she was murdered on December 20, 2010. I wish I could tell you more about her, but like Messy Mya I didn't find out about her until she was killed. The difference between the two is, Messy Mya was also a comedian so he had videos on youtube where I was able to learn about him after his death. The only thing I can inform you guys on about Magnolia Shorty is she was in a car with a guy and they were both shot to death, she was shot 26 times. Magnolia Shorty was only 28 years old. Once again I'm going to say this violence is getting out of control, and people are continuing to lose their lives. I send my condolences to the family of Magnolia Shorty, I know this is a hard time for them and it is all occuring around the holidays.

Kourtney Heart ft. Magnolia Shorty "My Boy" Official Music Video

From the research that I've done there have been three bounce music artist from New Orleans that were killed within these last two months. First was a rapper named Money, who I know nothing about but I tried to find out about him. The only thing I was able to find were tweets from Messy Mya who was mourning his death, assuming they were good friends. Every person I've found speaking on him said he was killed by the police. The day after his death Messy Mya was murdered, and I did a post on him last month which also consists of updates. Than almost a month after Messy Mya is murdered Magnolia Shorty was murdered.

NEW MUSIC: "If I Ever Fall In Love Again" / "Buyou"

Keyshia Cole is gearing up for the release of her fourth studio album Calling All Hearts, which will be released this Tuesday December 21st. Her entire album actually leaked this week. I was introuduced to a new song entitled "If I Ever Fall In Love Again" featuring Faith Evans. The song samples a Notorious B.I.G song. I actually like the song, I think Keyshia Cole is back and hasn't lost her touch not one bit. I think this song can be considered another Keyshia Cole classic. However, I do feel like she could have used a little more time to promote her album. It seems like she released a song then came the video, than another song and video. Then comes the album release, although I do know she has been gearing up for awhile. For those who don't know I'm making sure they know her album will be in stores on December 21st.

December 21st is almost is here and you guys know I'm excited. Ms. Keri Baby will be dropping her sophomore album No Boys Allowed. A new track from the highly anticipated album (at least by me) was released and it's entitled "Buyou". The songs features J.Cole and, I think this song makes a good dance track. Not to mention the song features J.Cole who has to be considered one of the best new artist of 2010. I would also like to say something not relating to the track, because I am a huge Keri Hilson fan I think I should share some words on the recent hate that has been going towards Keri Hilson's way. Many people all over the televison, radio and internet have been very unsupportive of Keri Hilson recently. All of this didn't occur until she released the video to "The Way You Love Me". Instead of embracing the new route she is traveling within her musical career people are bashing her and suddenly turning against her. She is not the only artist this has been done to neither. It seems when an artist decides to try something new or show who they really are within their music people are so quick to judge and turn them down. Keri Hilson was loved by many when she released In A Perfect World, but as soon as she becomes a little more personal and lets her audience get to know her a little better. People want to turn their backs on her. I like to consider those people fake fans who are not open minded. As long as these fake fans who are not opened minded cease to exsist the music industry will fail to widden it's horizions and lack individuality and creativity. This does not only apply to Keri Hilson, but all artist as well. At the end of the day Keri Hilson is one of the few talented artist out to this day. So while people are judging her she'll continue to produce her own music, write for herself and others and use her unique vocals.

NEW MUSIC: ''Christmas in Harlem''

Today a new track from Kanye West ft.Teyana Taylor hit the web entitled "Christmas in Harlem". It's not said if it will appear on an upcoming mixtape or album. However, this isn't the final version of the song. Today Kanye West tweeted that he just recieved the verses from Cam’Ron, Jim Jones,Vado, Pusha T, Big Sean, and Musiq Soulchild. Waiting anxiously to hear the final product because I like this song. What do you think of it?

This is why I LOVE Chrisette

I found this video of Chrisette Michele performing "Goodbye Game" on Lopez Tonight on http://www.theybf.com/ and after I seen this I know I had to post this video just to prove why I LOVE Chrisette Michele. This is one of the times when I catch chills, when I mean her voice is just amazing I mean A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I have yet to get her latest album Let Freedom Reign, but I need to hurry and get it because I can only imagine what other great music is on her album. However, if you guys haven't picked up her album I recommend that you do.

Face Off 3 Year Anniversary

WARNING: After reading this post don't think I am a crazy person because I am NOT! =)

Today marks the third anniversary of the release of Bow Wow & Omarion's Face Off album. Anyone who knows me, would know how much of a fan I am of both Bow Wow & Omarion. I used to say Bow Wow and I "dated" from the time I was in first grade, all the way until I was in seventh grade. I also used to say Omarion and I was "married" from the time I was in fourth grade until the ending of my freshman year in high school. Then afterwards him and I were "divorced". Both of them just made really great music I couldn't help but think I was in a relationship with them. I have almost every CD that both of them had ever released, and know almost every word to all the songs on those CD's. I also have a special wall dedicated to both Bow Wow and Omarion in my room. Three years ago today my sister, her friends, and myself went to the album signing for the release of Face Off. It was a cold and rainy day and we were on a line outside waiting to get into Circut City to see Bow Wow & Omarion. Earlier that day we had purchased the album that way we could get a wrist band to let us into the CD signing later on that night. We finally got inside, and the security guards were kind of rude I must admit. We weren't allowed to take any pictures of them, however my sister was able to snap a few. When I approched them I was so star struck I didn't even know what to say. I did however compose a good behavior, I did not scream or cry like the other girls were doing. Long story short I was able to say hello, shake their soft warm hands, and get my CD signed. For some reason that day in particular is one of the days I will never forget.

NEW MUSIC: Last Time Together/ Superwoman

In a previous NEW MUSIC post I revealed a song called "In Between The Lines" by Chris Brown ft. Kevin McCall. It was set to be to Chris Brown's new mixtape In My Zone 2, released on November 26th. However it didn't make the cut. Although the song didn't make the mixtape, the mixtape still consists of really great music. One of those songs that is really great is "Last Time Together". Out of all the songs this song in particular has to be one of the best songs. When I say I literally listen to this song every day I mean everyday. What do you think of it?

Another great song comes from two former group members of Xscape. Kandi Buruss is gearing up to release her next album entitled Kandi Koated. This song features her former group mate Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, and this song is an uplifting song for all the single mothers. I don't know what it's like to be a single mother, but this song is a good song. Both women have beautful voices. I wish I could hear Tiny sing more often because she has a nice voice. She has mentioned on her show Tiny & Toya that her husband T.I rathers her not have the kind of musical career she once had. I mean why can't T.I support her? She supports him everytime he goes to prison. *Kanye Shrug*
