New Music: "Love In The 90z"/ "Hustlers Ambition"

It's been two years since Mack Wilds released his Grammy-nominated debut album New York: A Love Story and now he has a new track to offer. Keeping with the 90's vibe that we've grown to love him for, he offers his first single off of his next project. "Love in the 90z" is produced by Salaam Remi, Scott Storch, Teddy Riley and James Poyser. I wouldn't be too surprised if this makes the soundtrack for Wilds' new VH1 film The Breaks, premiering on January 4th.

Newly engaged Chrisette Michele is back with new music for our enjoyment. Her latest single "Steady" is a little different from the ballads that we're used to her singing. The track is expected to appear on her upcoming project Milestone.

New Music Video: Missy Elliott ft. Pharrell Williams "WTF"

Missy Elliott is officially back and she is letting us know that she still has it. In her latest video for her single "WTF" (Where They From) featuring Pharrell Williams, Missy creates another classic. She is definitely known for having some of the best music videos and this one is no different. Accompanied by puppets, crazy sick outfits and tons of dancers, Missy is here to bring it. The music video for "WTF" was co-directed by Missy herself alongside Dave Meyers, who is also responsible for her "Work It" & "Lose Control" music videos.

New Music Video: Monica ft. Lil Wayne "Just Right For Me"

Earlier this year Monica revealed the first single off of her upcoming album Code Red, and now finally the singles official visual is available for our enjoyment. "Just Right For Me" features the captain of the Young Money team Lil Wayne and the track is produced by Polow Da Don. In the Rite Brothers directed music video Monica has some fun as she hits up the skate park with Lil Wayne and then she brings the fun at the arcade. She will also be heading out on her Code Red Experience tour this week with Rico Love. Monica's 8th studio album Code Red is expected to hit stores on December 18th.

Keke Palmer is all grown up and she is making sure she let's everyone know that for sure. The well-known actress has had her foot in music for over the years, but it has always been overshadowed by her successful film career. However, now she is proving that she can be an actress and singer at the same damn time. Her new show Scream Queens is already a hit, now she's ready to release those hits for the charts. For her latest single "I Don't Belong To You", Keke teamed up with producer London on da Track to bring the sexy, and let's just say she pretty much succeeded at that as well.

New Music Video: Adele "Hello"

It has been sometime since Adele released her last album 21, but she is FINALLY back. The UK songstress came right out the gate swinging with her latest single. She is gearing up to release her next project 25 within the coming weeks and she recently released the music video for her first single "Hello". Starring in the music video as Adele's leading man is none other than actor/ singer Tristan "Mack" Wilds. It's so great to finally have Adele back!

New Music Video: Jussie Smollett ft. Pitbull "No Doubt About It"

If you guys tuned into last nights episode of Empire on Fox then I'm pretty sure you guys know that things are starting to heat up on the show. However, with Lucious Lyon finally out of jail he decided to throw himself a welcome home party at his nightclub and the sounds of the party scene was set off by a performance from Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett) and Pitbull as they performed they're track "No Doubt About It". In the music video directed by Gil Green, the two perform the up-tempo track at the Empire mansion with tons of pretty ladies in attendance.

When The Beat Drops #43: Nicki Minaj & Meek Mill GQ Cover, Drake Covers The Fader, Empire & More

On this weeks video I talk about Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill as the two cover the October 2015 issue of GQ Magazine, they cover their relationship and the biggest misconceptions people have about them. I then move on to Drake as he covers the latest issue of The Fader, he finally breaks his silence on his feelings about what went down with Meek Mill. I then talk about Adele as she will be releasing a new album this November. I then get into my thoughts on the first episode of Empire season 2. I end things off with the nominees of the 2015 BET Hip Hop Awards, which take place this month.

New Music Video: "Boomerang"/ "The Fix"

This past summer Sevyn Streeter released her latest EP Shoulda Been There Pt. 1 and now one of the tracks off of the project has been placed into an official visual. Her single "Boomerang" features super producer Hit-Boy and Sevyn is definitely serving. Wearing long box-braids the songstress rides around the LA streets singing about how the love between her and a ex should of been the moving force to bring his ass back home.

New Music Video: Fetty Wap ft. Monty "My Way"

This music video is definitely way overdue, but the timing is perfect as Fetty Wap's self-titled debut album releases tomorrow. Being the only hip hop artist to have his first four singles on Billboard, Fetty Wap gives his single "My Way" the music video treatment. We are all familiar with the remix featuring Drake, but it's the original version featuring Remy Boy Monty that we'll see in the visuals.

New Music Video: August Alsina ft. Lil Wayne "Why I Do It"

August Alsina is slowly giving us new music as he prepares to release his sophomore album, This Thing Called Life. Earlier this year he released his single "Hip Hop", now he is back with the follow up to that single. "Why I Do It" features non other than Lil Wayne. The two New Orleans natives perform the track in a very animated video, which in the end turns out to be a movie set.

New Music: Tamar Braxton "Catfish" / "King" Live Performance

Tamar Braxton's new album Calling All Lovers was originally scheduled to release last week on September 11th. However, to our surprise and even Tamar's surprise, the project was pushed back to October 2nd. Nonetheless, that doesn't stop the music as Tamar recently released her latest single "Catfish". On the track she is calling out all of the social media frauds and letting them know she knows exactly who they are.

Jade Ashley's Summer 2015 Playlist

By now it is no secret that the summer has officially come to an end. However, before the cold weather completely hits us all I just wanted to run down some of my favorite songs from this past summer. Therefore, I decided to compose my own playlist of some of the hottest songs that represent the summer of 2015. New Music: Janet Jackson "Unbreakable"

Earlier this week Janet Jackson officially began her Unbreakable World Tour in Vancouver and her return to the music industry is being felt by many. Earlier today she revealed the album cover and tracklisting for her new album Unbreakable, which will be released on October 2nd. If that wasn't enough she also released her new single, also entitled "Unbreakable" and even provided the lyrics for her fans to sing along.

New Music: JoJo "Say Love"

JoJo is finally in a stable position when it concerns her record label situation and now she has new music to share. When we last heard from the singer she was battling to get off of her former label Blackground Records, but she still fed fans with music on her last project #LoveJo. Now she is signed to Atlantic Records and ready to get the ball rolling again. She recently offered fans what she called a "triangle" of singles, which is basically three new tracks. One of those tracks being "Say Love".

Recently Rita Ora released the official music video for her latest single "Body On Me" featuring Chris Brown. This is the leading single off of Rita's latest project, which will be her first ever album releasing here in the states. In the video both Rita and Chris are seen getting close to one another as the two play neighbors that fantasize about the possibilities once their bodies get close to one another.

New Music: Bridget Kelly ft. Mack Wilds " Act Like That"

Since we last heard from Bridget Kelly she had parted ways with Roc Nation and decided to go on the independent route. She is gearing up to release her new project called Summer of 17, which releases next week on August 5th. This is her first project following her 2013 EP, Cut To. . .Bridget Kelly. The first single off of Summer of 17, "Act Like That" features none of than Mack Wilds.

Hip Hops newest couple Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj have been making headlines pretty much ever since they confirmed their relationship. Right now the two are touring the country on Nicki Minaj's current tour The Pinkprint Tour. After their stop in NYC this past weekend the two released the official music video for their latest single "All Eyes On You" featuring Chris Brown, off of Meek's latest album Dreams Worth More Than Money.

Janet Jackson is fully back in affect. Since announcing her return to the music game, the legendary singer has announced both a new album and upcoming tour. As we await the release of her new album and the start of her world tour she recently released the official music video for her first single "No Sleeep". However, this time around she enlisted the help of J Cole and I must say these two are definitely a perfect fit.

Although it has been two months since his tragic death, Chinx's memory is staying alive as his camp prepares to release his first official studio album. One of the singles now available for purchase "Yay" is quickly gaining popularity as the album's August 14th release date approaches.

New Music: Sevyn Streeter ft. B.o.B "Shoulda Been There"

Sevyn Streeter FINALLY has new music for us all to enjoy. This week she released her latest EP Soulda Been There Pt. 1. This is her first full project since her 2013 debut EP Call Me Crazy But. . . Sevyn refers to this new EP as a prelude to her debut album, which will be coming soon. Her new leading single "Shoulda Been There" features her boyfriend B.o.B and I can definitely see this track becoming an anthem. Not to mention the official lyric video for the track let's us get to see all of the fun the two have as a couple.

With her multiple job titles, Tamar Braxton continues to stay on top of things when it comes to her music career. Back in May the R&B songstress released the first single off of her upcoming album Calling All Lovers, which is slated to release around September. After a few weeks the official music video for "If I Don't Have You" is now available for our enjoyment. Starring alongside Ms. Braxton we can also see former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Nene Leakes, actresses Malika and Khadijah Haqq and clothing designer Shateria Moragne.

Tink can be heard all over the radio with her latest single "Million" as it samples the late Aaliyah's "One In A Million". Now the 2015 XXL Freshman has the official visual to match her latest single. Directed by Benny Boom, the songstress/ rapper can be seen dancing and performing the track in some pretty dope outfits.

Recently Big Sean has been releasing multiple music videos for the singles off of his latest album Dark Sky Paradise. Recently he released the music video for his single "Play No Games" featuring Chris Brown and Ty Dolla $ign. In the video Big Sean pays tribute one of the most popular 90's sitcom Martin as Sean plays the role of Martin Lawrence (Martin) and Chris plays the role of Carl Payne (Cole).

In a recent interview August Alsina revealed that new music from his sophomore album is definitely on it's way. A few months ago he gave a sample of what to expect with his latest single "Hip Hop". During the BET Awards weekend the singer premiered the official visuals for the single. In the music video Alsina can be seen returning to his hometown of New Orleans as he sheds light on some of the issues African Americans are currently facing within their communities.

Recently Miguel debuted his leading single "Coffee" off of his upcoming album Wildheart, which is scheduled for a June 29th release. Along with the announcement with his upcoming tour, the R&B heartthrob released the official visuals for his leading single. In the video he can be seen interacting with a model that somewhat resembles his real life girlfriend.

On this weeks video I discuss the 2015 Freshman Class of XXL Magazine as the cover was revealed this past week. I then move on to Akon and speak on some of his humanitarian work as he is helping millions of Africans gain the ability to have electricity. Then I move on to an update with Janet Jackson as she is now the head of  her own record company. Nicki Minaj looks amazing as she covers the July issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine. I end things by talking about Ed Sheeran and his latest cover to Fetty Wap's hit single "Trap Queen".

New Music Video: Wale ft. Usher "Matrimony"

With the success of his recent album, The Album About Nothing, Wale has finally released the official visual for his hit single "Matrimony" featuring Usher. In the music video Wale is reunited with his "Bad" co star Bria Murphy as we see their love story continue to play out. In the video the MMG rapper can be seen dwelling on their relationship as Bria prepares to walk down the aisle and marry another man.

New Music: Chinx ft. Meet Sims "On Your Body"

Sadly almost three weeks ago Coke Boys rapper Chinx was gunned down in Queens, NY. Since his death the hip hop community has kept his memory alive through his music and multiple stories of the kind and talented individual that he was. During the time of his death, the rapper was working on his debut album Welcome to JFK, which was slated for a late 2015 release. This past week it was confirmed that his debut album will still be released, with the given date of August 14th. The first single off of the project is "On Your Body" featuring Meet Sims.

Elle Varner recently performed her latest track "Birthday" this past week with 50 Cent at the Power Seaosn 2 Premier concert in NYC. The single appears on the singers second studio album 4 Letter Word, which is long over due. The MBK singer previously released other singles such as "Cold Case", "F*ck It All" and "Little Do You Know". Elle definitely goes the traditional "birthday song" route with this track.

ATL singer Monica is currently gearing up for the release of her latest album Code Red. After revealing her new style, the wife and mother of three revealed her latest single "Just Right For Me" featuring Young Money honcho Lil Wayne. In what I am sure is an ode to her husband Shannon Brown, Monica repeatedly sings "you're just right for me" throughout the chorus.

On this weeks video I talk about Nick Minaj and Meek Mill's relationship and Nicki's new diamond ring and whether or not the two are currently engaged. Next I talk about K. Michelle and Viacom's victory in court as they recently won a $65 million lawsuit that was set against them. Then I move over to Rihanna as she made headlines this week after being accused of snorting cocaine. After the success of his latest album 2014 Forest Hills Drive, J Cole continues to release the official visuals to compliment the singles on the project. For his latest visual Cole puts a new twist to things for his latest single "Wet Dreamz". One of my first favorites off of the album, I have to admit I did not picture the music video to be this way. Directed by Ryan Staake, J Cole puts his creativity to use to bring his latest video to life as he raps about losing his virginity.

On this weeks video I talk about the new music streaming service Tidal owned by Jay-Z and other multiple musical artist and the impact they plan to have on the music industry. I also talk about some of my favorite performances from last weeks iHeart Music Awards, which took place in LA last week. I then move on HOT 97's annual Summer Jam concert as this years lineup was released this week. Switching gears I talk about Ciara's latest album Jackie as she revealed the album cover and the tour dates for her Jackie Tour going down next month. I then end things off with a new duo making their way into the industry by the name of DumbBlonde.

With the one year anniversary of his debut album Testimony only 14 days away. August Alsina decided to release new music, which can possibly make an appearance on his upcoming sophomore album. This time around it seems like he's taking a new direction with his lyrics in his new single "Hip Hop" as he sings about classic hip hop moments and compares them to life experiences while sampling Naughty By Nature's "Hip Hop Hooray".

On this week's video I talk about Chris Brown allegedly being the father to a 9 month baby girl and the drama it's caused with his current relationship. I also talk about what's been going on Fox's new hit show Empire, as well as the latest news with one of the shows stars Jussie Smollett. I then talk about the latest on ATL 2, as the cast members shared photos from the set. I then switch things up and talk about the latest with Bobbi Kristina's situation and her boyfriend Nick Gordon going on Dr. Phil to do a tell all interview. I end things off with Keyshia Cole and the drama going on between her and her estranged husband, Daniel Gibson.

New Music Video: Ciara "I Bet"

I have been waiting for this music video since Ciara released the track. In her first music video since becoming a mother to baby Future, Ciara show's off her physique to let us know that absolutely nothing has changed. Ciara can be seen performing her single "I Bet" with a ballerina themed video as she shows her ex fiancé Future what he's missing out on. The track will appear on Ciara's next album Jackie, named after her mother, which is expected to release later on this year.

If you're a fan to Fox's new hit show Empire like myself, then I'm pretty sure that every week you're drawn into each episode. The show features original music from cast members who also double as music artist. Executive produced by Timbaland, many of the songs on the show have quickly gained popularity among fans, and I am no different. "You're So Beautiful" sung by Jussie Smollet, featuring his co-star Yazz, or should I say Jamal Lyon featuring Hakeem Lyon, is just among one of my favorites from the show.

Kanye West Performs "All Day" At The Brit Awards

For the past two weeks Kanye West has been making me a very happy person. Last week after his interview with The Breakfast Club over at Power 105.1 I began to look forward to new music from Mr. West. In the interview he talked about being happy to actually work on new music again, and he even dropped a few names of artists he's been in the studio with. This week he premiered his new single "All Day" at the 2015 Brit Awards, and I must say I am absolutely loving it. With a dope song and a dope performance to match I can't be mad. As the anticipation continues to build I'm starting to look for that release date on Kanye's next project.

New Grammy Award Winner Kendrick Lamar recently released a very necessary track off of his upcoming album. His track "The Blacker The Berry" discusses just about a lot of the stereotypes and issues within the black community. With a lot of race talk going on in hip hop, Kendrick is here to point out the facts of African American culture. In pointing out these facts he encourages us to embrace our culture, and it's perfect timing as we are currently in Black History Month.

Chris Brown & Tyga recently released the music video for their single "Ayo", which appears on their upcoming album Fan of a Fan. The album is the followup to their 2010 mixtape Fan of a Fan, and this project is definitely way OVERDUE. Needless to say, from the albums cover and the music video, Chris and Tyga are definitely going with a 90's theme this time around. Fan of a Fan the album releases on February 24th.
