Former American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino is back with a new single entitled "Lose to Win". This is the first single she has released since her last studio album Back To Me, released it 2010. Since then she has taken time off to reshape her life and find her comfort zone. Since then she has been doing shows throughout the country. The lyrics to this song relates to many of the obstacles Fantasia has recently overcome in life, showing that she's realized sometimes in order to win in life you have to lose first. With a good head on her shoulders and a new single, I can see Fantasia coming back stronger than she has ever been before, the song speaks for itself.

New Music Video: Bridget Kelly- "Special Delivery"
Back in September I introduced Bridget Kelly's latest single "Special Delivery", and this week the official music video was released. Last year she released her EP Every Girl, and she is currently working on her debut album, which is expected to be released sometime next year. The visuals for this video takes place in Brooklyn, NY (where I'm from), and she dedicates the video to Coney Island, which was heavily effected from Hurricane Sandy this past October.

New Music: "Love and War"
If your a huge Braxton family fan like I am than you instantly identified the youngest sibling, Tamar as your favorite Braxton. Since the first season she has been mentioning wanting to put out her own solo album and "drop it like it's hot" like Beyonce. With her husband being Vincent Herbert and her older sister being Toni Braxton, she had a lot to prove as well as overcome to prove that she can be the superstar she has always dreamed of being. Yesterday she released her first single since the late 1990's, "Love and War". On her current reality show Vince and Tamar, viewers were able to watch Tamar work on her new music as well as put together a showcase. With the release of her single and the season finale of her show last night, Tamar is definitely getting her shine, which has been way overdue. I personally shed a few tears watching her perform last night because I know it had to be a wonderful feeling showing others what you can do musically and performance wise. It only gives me hope and motivates me to work harder to change my situation and get straight to working on my dreams.

New Video: Nicki Minaj ft. Cassie "The Boys"
I spoke about this song sometime last month, and yesterday a colorful and fun video was released.

New Music: "Pain"/ "She Bad Bad"
It's been awhile since I've mentioned new music, but this past week there was a good amount of new music released. One of my favorites is Pusha T's new single "Pain" featuring Future. Fresh off of his publicity tour with the rest of his G.O.O.D Music family for Cruel Summer, Pusha T has decided to let fans get a taste of the kind of music to expect off of his debut solo album. The album is still untitled, but Pusha T has mentioned it will be released sometime at the top of 2013.
Since I mentioned G.O.O.D Music's Cruel Summer, I thought I would mention my favorite track from the album: Teyana Taylor & John Legend- "Bliss"
Off of her appearance on the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards, Eve released her official first single "She Bad Bad". For awhile it was said that she was in the studio working with various producers and now a finished product has been released. "She Bad Bad" is expected to be on her highly anticipated studio album Lip Lock, which is expected to be released at the beginning of 2013.

Rihanna: Unapologetic
I know I'm pretty late, but Rihanna is gearing up to release her 7th studio album, which she officially named this past week. Along with releasing the name of her upcoming album she also released the cover of her upcoming album as well. Her new album Unapologetic will be released on November 19th. The first single off of her album is "Diamonds", which was released about two weeks ago. So far the song has made such as big buzz. Aside from Rihanna's music making headlines she has also recently been linked to her ex boyfriend Chris Brown. I usually don't do the gossip thing, and I am more focused on the music. However, there's a lot of good publicity that can come with this album and I can only imagine how things will be for Rihanna within the next month. She just might pull a Lil Wayne and go platinum within a week, only time will tell.

Throwback Friday: Usher "Burn"
I really wanted to bring back Throwback Thursday's however, I didn't make it to Thursday so we'll substitute with Friday for now. As I thought of a song to reminisce on I thought of going to an artist that is currently making headlines. The artist I came up with is Usher, after the recent passing of his stepson Kyle Glover, being a new judge on The Voice, and recently releasing an album this summer I thought Usher Raymond made an amazing candidate. I haven't done a throwback post in a really long time, but it's something I've been thinking of for a minute. This weeks song is "Burn" off of Usher's Grammy Award winning album Confessions. I believe this has to be one of the best albums Usher has released throughout his entire career. One thing that has added to the success of this album is the controversy that had been surrounding the truth about the albums inspiration at the time. Around this time Usher and Chili had just broken up, so many people did believe that he did cheat on her and that he did get another woman pregnant. Although none of that had not been true it did make good press for the album, and has helped make this one of Usher's best album.

New American Idol Judging Panel
This past week there has been lots of controversy surrounding American Idol as they began their new season. Right before the season began the official judging panel was revealed after many rumors and speculations. The final judges of the show were Mariah Carey, Keith Urban, Randy Jackson and Nicki Minaj. Long story short everyone is wondering why is Nicki Minaj a judge. Some people thinks she has no real talent so why is she trying to help seek talent. Then others believe because she is a rapper she isn't qualified. Others believe she has lost her touch as a rapper over the years and she isn't even a real artist. When I first heard that she was being considered for the job I wasn't sure if it was even true. It sounded like a story that could of been made up, so I didn't really put too much thought into it. However after it was confirmed I didn't know what to think or even wanted to express my opinion. I'd rather hear from others and find out whether or not people think she is worthy or not for the position. Apparently these contracts are worth a lot, so once she was offered the position she accepted the job.
What are your thoughts?

Frank Ocean: SNL & "Pyramids" Music Video
Last week Frank Ocean went on Saturday Night Live and also released the official music video to his track "Pyramids" off of his debut album Channel Orange. While of SNL he performed his songs "Thinking About You" and "Pyramids". Both songs were accompanied by John Mayer on guitar. It actually turns out that John Mayer is the original guitar player for "Pyramids". Both performances just proved that Frank Ocean is greatly talented, the music video shows many different visuals that only Frank Ocean can get away with.
New Missy Elliott Music: "9th Inning"/ "Triple Threat"
This past week Missy Elliott dropped two new tracks "9th Inning" and "Triple Threat" to let everyone know that she was back and didn't take a permanent leave from the music scene. Both songs sound like classic Missy and I can see her upcoming album Block Party becoming an instant success. Both uptempo tracks just prove that good music is on it's way back to the industry. She and Timbaland went over to the Breakfast Club Morning Show on 105.1 in New York City where she premiered her two new tracks. She explained that her absence from the music scene was due to her being diagnosed with Graves Disease. One of the yearning questions during their interview was whether or not if her and Timbaland would be involved with the new Aaliyah album. The both of them denied any involvement with the album in order to respect the wishes of her family not wanting there to be another Aaliyah album released.

New Music: "Clique"/ "The Boys"
The first new song comes from the G.O.O.D Music family, "Clique" is one of the many singles that has been released from the groups upcoming album Cruel Summer, which is dropping later on this month. The song features Kanye West, Big Sean and Jay-Z. This is yet another hot single that is being played all over the radio, which is only making the album even more highly anticipated.
The next new single is from Nicki Minaj, her new single "The Boys" features Cassie and will appear on a re-released version of Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. I can honestly say I don't know what the song is about, but if I had to guess I would say it's about guys not loving properly. Nonetheless I found myself liking the song, especially Cassie's part. It makes for a good club track, and the song has already reached the top of the charts on iTunes. With this being a YMCMB and Bad Boy mesh up I can see a real glamorous video coming real soon.

New Video: Ciara "Sorry"
Ciara is back with her first single "Sorry" off of her upcoming studio album One Woman Army. The video was directed Christopher Sims, with a nice back drop and her dance moves Ciara expresses her love for an ex. There are many speculations that this specific boyfriend she may be referring to is either Bow Wow or 50 Cent since each song on this album is personal. Many people are doubting Ciara this time around since her previous album didn't do so well, but I believe this single is a great start. It kind of gives me the same feeling of when she released "Never Ever". The switch from Jive Records to Epic Records might have been good, as long as she continues to release the right singles.
Feeling the video?

2012 MTV Video Music Awards Recap
By now I'm sure you all have seen the 2012 MTV VMA's and I must say I wasn't impressed not one bit. I usually try my best to find the good in things, but I found the show to be quite boring this year.
The only performance that I found to be good throughout the entire show was Frank Ocean's. He performed his track "Thinking About You" which was released last year. He had the perfect and the best set up that matched his song. I listened very closely to his vocals, and I loved how he switched up the track. Of course him being bi sexual came about various times throughout the night, but that didn't take away from the fact of how talented he is.
Rhianna was one of the main performers I was looking to see, but I just don't think she delivered. I don't know if it was last minute planning or what, but I was really hoping for more out of her performance. Most of all I hate to be the one to judge another's vocal ability, but those weren't on point that night neither. How ever she did take home the award for video of the year, and she looked simple and stunning while doing so.
Wiz Khalifa & Amber Rose announced that they would be expecting their first child together 6 months from now. Although she was spotted the week before, but I think they were going for that Jay-Z & Beyonce moment.
Alicia Keys did her first televised performance for her new single "Girl on Fire", and for a hot song I found the performance to be kind of boring. She had Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglass part of her performance, but it still didn't give it that "umph" that I looked for.

New Music: "Special Delivery"/ "All of Me"
I love posting about new music and this week I've come across new music from Roc Nation's Bridget Kelly, and Lloyd who is currently signed to Interscop/Zone 4.
If you remember last year I introduced you all to Bridget Kelly, she was the one Frank Ocean wrote "Thinking About You" for. However, his version received more recognition than her's. Nonetheless the song made it on to her mixtape Every Girl. Other hits from that mixtape included "Seek & Destroy" and "White Lies". I'll admit that I did think she would have gotten more exposure by now, but because she is a talented singer and writer I'm positive that definitely by next year she will be more known. Until then she has been on the cover of a few magazines, such as Honey Magazine and Edge Magazine. A new single "Special Delivery" was released on the web, and it's another song dealing with breakups. However this song gives an empowering outlook to a breakup situation, it's gives off a chilled out afternoon type vibe.
Update: Bridget Kelly performed "Special Delivery" as well as her first single "This Love" off of her debut album at this years Essence Music Festival back in July.
Lloyd has also released new music, his new single "All of Me" features Wale and it's expected to be on his upcoming mixtape. The track was produced by Cassius Jay, along with his upcoming mixtape Lloyd is expected to release his 5th studio album under is own label, Young Goldie Music. Stay tuned for more new music from Lloyd.

Reality TV & Music
I don't know if you guys are a huge reality television fans like I am, but when there is a new show that looks interesting than I'm there to watch it. My favorite kind of reality shows relate to music, they give me a chance to learn about new artists or learn more about an artist and it exposes me to new music. Two current reality shows is Love & Hip Hop Atlanta and R&B Divas. Both shows have artist that I've heard of before, but with the cameras there, viewers are given more of an emphasis of who they are and get a first look into the music that they make.
The first artist is K Michelle from Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. I first heard of her back in 2010 with her single "I Can't Do This". She is one of the breakout stars on the show as she discuss's her previous relationship with producer Memphitz, she mentions how he abused her and was part of the reasons she fell off and lost her record deal with Jive Records. She is now on the comeback and I must say she is better than I remembered. Her vocals are really strong, and it's really obvious that the songs she writes comes from real life situations. I will admit I have no interest in her drama, but just her music. This season on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta viewers got to watch her record two new songs which were "Bury My Heart" and "Kiss My Ass". I'm unaware of her current label situation, but on the show you see her going through trials and tribulations with trying to become signed again. I would ex out her drama, and only focus on her music because she is really talented.
"Kiss My Ass"
"Bury My Heart"
The next artist is Keke Wayatt, that is best known for her duets with male R&B singer Avant. Some of the classic songs she is featured on is "Nothing In This World" and "If Only You Knew". She is now on the new TV One show R&B Divas, alongside Faith Evans, Monifah, Syleena Johnson and Nicci Glibert. The season has just began, but from the first two episodes I have learned that she is very protective over her husband, but she can sing her ass off. Recently a new track was released by Avant featuring Keke Wayatt called "You & I"

New Music: "Dance Alone"/ "Wildest Dreams"
Those of you who really know me, knows that I love Keke Palmer and she is now back with a new single. Her new single "Dance Alone" follows her leading track "You Got Me" featuring Kevin McCall. This song is off of her upcoming album, which is currently untitled and has no release date as of yet. The track was produced by Harmony, who produced her previous track. She recently shot the video, where you see her trying to get the guy she finds attractive to dance with her at a party. The video will be released on on August 27th.
BTS Footage:
After releasing the official music video for her leading single "Put It Down" featuring Chris Brown, Brandy is already getting started with her second single off of her upcoming album Two Eleven, which is set to be released on October 16th. I personally feel like this song better suites her, although I kind of liked her first single I feel like it was a little too youthful for her. The video was directed by Hype Williams and it confirmed my original thoughts about the song being youthful for her. However, her second single "Wildest Dreams" seems to be more of the Brandy I've been used to hearing, and I think the song suites her well and I love to hear her rifts in any song that she does. The song was produced by Sean Garret and The Bizness.

New Music: "Enough Said"
I feel like this post is 3 days over due, but if I wasn't getting ready to leave for college than it would have been posted earlier. This week Drake posted a new Aaliyah track that he produced. The song is entitled "Enough Said" and the song also features Drake himself. Drake has sampled Aaliyah on his music in the past, but now he is talking about producing an entire album of her unreleased music. First thing I'm interested in finding out is, how does Drake even have access to her unreleased music? He wasn't even on Degrassi when she was still around, but his statement about producing an entire album caused quite a buzz. Timbaland who was a good friend and producer to Aaliyah told media outlets that Drake shouldn't produce no Aaliyah music unless him and Missy Elliot are involved. Shortly afterwards Drake released "Enough Said". Being one of the biggest Aaliyah fans I was both excited and nervous. I was excited because she's been gone for over 10 years now, so of course I wanted to hear new music from her. Then I was nervous because I wasn't sure if it would live up to the empire Aaliyah has already built. Nonetheless, I LOVE THE SONG. It's a mixture of Aaliyah's classic sound, as well as a little 2012 spin. However, Aaliyah's brother Rashad posted to his Facebook and said that there will be no new Aaliyah album, nor will there being a biopic because he feel's like no one can play his sister. The new Aaliyah track was a nice excitement for the summer so Drake I thank you for that. As the anniversary of her death begins to approach, it's still hard to believe it will be 11 years since she's been gone.

First Real Interview
This past weekend I went out to Miami to visit my cousin before I go off to college next week. Right now my major is Music Performance, it's no secret I want to be a singer. However, with all of my studying and training over the past couple of years I'm still not good. If you've seen my cover videos on youtube then you know what I'm referring to. That's why I wanted to continue studying music in college, but a degree in music is not going to guarantee me a future within the music industry. So I decided when I return to campus to officially begin my college journey I would rather be a Mass Communications major and minor in Music Performance because I don't want to completely give up on trying to sing. Aside from being a singer I also have the dream of hosting 106 & Park and interviewing some of my favorite stars. I look up to personalities such as LaLa Anthony, Ryan Seacrest, Wendy Williams and a few others. So I'm hoping to achieve both dreams within my life, so to test out my interviewing skills I interviewed my cousin who just happens to be an up and coming fashion blogger out in Miami and here is the finished product.
New Videos: "Enough of No Love"/ 'Pound the Alarm"
Keyshia Cole is back with a new music video to her new single "Enough of No Love" featuring Lil Wayne off of her upcoming album Woman to Woman, which is expected to be released this September. The video was directed by Benny Boom, I think he's done ALL of Keyshia Cole's videos. She debuted the video today on 106 & Park. When talking about her upcoming album she continued to mention working with a lot of song writers and getting back to her roots. She also mentioned that a lot of her fans were not feeling her last album Calling All Hearts. People felt as though she wasn't putting out enough into her music because she was now married with her own family. So she decided to take herself out of the equation and started making music for her fans again. I'll admit after hearing the songs several times, putting it on my iPod and finally watching the music video it does feel like the old Keyshia. Not to mention her reality show Keyshia & Daniel: Family First comes out this October on BET, I'm starting to get really excited for her.
Yesterday Nicki Minaj's video to her next single "Pound the Alarm" off of her second studio album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded was released. Her new video was also directed by Benny Boom. This time she went back to her home Trinidad & the entire concept of the video was Carnival in Trinidad. I think this video would have to go within Nicki Minaj's Top 5 best videos. The song just makes you want to dance and just seeing her go back to her roots was a good look. If she performs at this years VMA's it would be cool for her to recreate the video for her onstage performance.
This old interview of Nicki Minaj popped up on World Star this week & figured I'd share, this is the Nicki I remember when I started high school. She has grown a lot over these past for years.

Frank Ocean: Channel Orange
The last time Frank Ocean was mentioned on this blog was when I introduced his new single "Pyramids" which is on his new debut album Channel Orange, which hits stores tomorrow. The album was released a week early and since then there has been mixed reviews. Days before his album was released online, Frank Ocean wrote an open letter to his fans about his sexuality. In the letter he admits to being bi sexual and having a man as his first love. Since then he's received more love and he has also lost love. I personally don't think it matters whether or not he's gay, straight, or bi. The fact is he makes GREAT music and that's all that should matter. Last summer he had everyone going crazy over his song "Thinking About You" and suddenly the same people who loved that song no longer like it and no longer like him. I think that's just immature, and to make matters worse TARGET decides they will not be selling his album in their stores. This really must be the year when the world ends if people are really bothered that this wonderful musician's sexuality determines his success. Despite the negativity I believe his album will do great, it's already caused lots of attention within the media and it's only going to become better. As far as Target not carrying the album, I may have to travel a longer distance just to support a real artist.

NEW Music Video: Hello Girls "Beep Beep"
If your a daily viewer of BET's 106 & Park like myself than you may have seen Megan Good in a music video where she was the artist. Awhile ago I heard about her and her sister being in a girl group, but because I seen no promo, heard no music or nothing I just ignored it. Then they popped up on 106 this week with their new video. I always feel like I should be the last person to judge a artist because I spent four years in high school studying music & my voice sounds like shit, and I'm getting no where vocally. I will say I did kind of get that vibe of modern day Pussycat Dolls as they were on the show, but when the video was over I was lost for words. It's about two days later and I'm still kind of lost for words, I can say I don't want the song on my iPod.
PLEASE SHARE HONEST OPINION ON THIS SONG & MUSIC VIDEO, BECAUSE IDK!

New Music: "You Got Me"/ "Dive In"
Anyone who knows me knows I love talking about new music, and the first new track comes from someone who I actually look to as a role model. If you've read my blog in the past then you may have seen previous posts about Keke Palmer. She is back with lot's of new projects, and one of those new projects is a new mixtape. Her new single "You Got Me" features singer/ rapper/ songwriter Kevin McCall. The track was produced by Harmony from London. Both Harmony and Kevin McCall compare Keke to Brandy, based off of her vocal ability and work ethic. The official release date and title of her mixtape are currently unknown, but the official music video to the track will be released really soon. Also you can catch Keke Palmer in Ice Age: Continental Drift, which features others such as Nicki Minaj, Queen Latifah, Drake and many more, the move hits theater's this Friday.
BTS Footage:
The next new single comes from one of R&B's current heartthrobs, Trey Songz. His new single "Dive In" is the third single released off of his upcoming studio album Chapter V, which is set to be released on August 21st. This song is yet another classic Trey Songz track that I'm sure all ladies will love and have them singing pretty soon.

2012 BET Award Recap
I know the 2012 BET Awards was almost a week ago, but I still want to share my favorite moments from the show.
I think I can speak for everyone when I say the highlight of the entire award show was the tribute to Whitney Houston. The tribute began with Mariah Carey coming out sharing her personal memories with Whitney. Since her death you hear a lot of fake stories, or stories that never really held any significance. So when Mariah came out looking flawless, might I add, you couldn't help but start tearing up. After she spoke one of my favorite singers, Monica (shown above) sung her heart out. Once Monica left the stage, Brandy came to the stage to perform. I was personally happy to see her involvement in the tribute because her and Whitney had been close, and for awhile she didn't want to perform in any kind of tribute because it was too emotional. However, she pulled through and looked and sounded great. The highlight of the entire performance was Cissy Houston coming out to sing "Bridge Over Troubled Water", I believe no other network would of been able to make that happen other than BET. To end the musical proportion was my all time favorite singer Chaka Khan come out, to sing "I'm Every Woman", she looked and sounded amazing through her performance as well. The tribute ended with Whitney's co-star's from Waiting to Exhale sharing their fondest memories with her, now that was a tribute.
Many people haven't mentioned this, but Melanie Fiona sung her ass off during her performance and that placed her as one of my favorite performances of the night.
Many people focused on Usher's sneakers during his performance, but not his vocals. He delivered vocally and after being within the industry for all of these years, I would say that he still has it.
I'll admit I was expecting more from Chris Brown, but the creativity was most definitely within his performance. That's why I believe mentioning his performance is necessary.
I think Nicki Minaj's performance is worth mentioning because she rapped. When I heard her rapping I think I was extremely surprised because now a days you just hear her try to sing like a pop star, so it was nice she decided to return to rap that night. As far as her ass, that's her issue.
I think one thing that had everyone talking that night was the front row. Many people thought that Kim Kardashian being at the BET Awards was awkward and that she looked kind of out of place, and I would have to agree. Nonetheless Beyonce and Jay-Z's appearance at the award show was a more important topic. The two ran against each other for a couple of the awards that night, and they both went home with two awards each.

My Favorite Couples
Since I'm 18 years old and never had a boyfriend a lot of my friends constantly nag me to find one. I don't go out & walk up to random guys & ask them if they would like to be my boyfriend. My friends make it seem like it's a simple process, but it's not. I'll be off to college in about a month and some change so I'll see how things work when I get there. I hear North Carolina A&T has a nice amount of cute guys, so we'll see what happens on my own terms. In the meantime, I decided to share with you guys some of my favorite celebrity couples.

New Music: "Where The Boys At"/ "Put It Down"
The first song comes from the OMG Girlz, I think it's pretty weird that I find them to be so cool. From their outfits to the music that they make, although I'm not really that older than them I wish I was cool like them when I was their age 2-3 years ago. Their second single "Where The Boys At" is another cute song that I'm sure will make the countdown on 106 & Park when the video comes out. I've honestly listened to this track several times since I first heard it a few weeks ago. I think it's because I also wanna know where the boys at. The group is currently on tour promoting their debut album Where The Boys At, which is set to release on June 12th on Interscope/ Streamline Records.
BTS Video Footage
The next new song comes from Brandy featuring Chris Brown, "Put It Down" is off of her next upcoming studio album. I personally don't think too much of it, I feel like Brandy is trying to be a little too youthful with this song. I'm not saying I hate the song, but I don't find it to be too much of a big of a deal, especially for someone who is preparing a big comeback. However, I'm sure she'll pop up with something better as it comes closer for the album release.

Last Concert in High School Career
Last week was my last concert as a vocal major in high school. When I say that night was one of the best I really meant it. From the fun I had before the concert, to my teachers speech to the seniors because we were his first freshman so we were literally together for four years. To the amount of tears that were shed due to both happiness and sadness. To the amazing performance that was put on that night. Class of 2012 most definitely showed out for all of their last shows. Whether it was the band, orchestra, vocalist, dancers. The last stop is for the art majors last art show. I really can't believe high school will be over within a matter of days. I wish I could just pack everyone up and take them to college with me. With my constant difficulty with singing and my various moments that I have, I hope I can make a transition to college singing and that I really become better, because music is my dream and something that I truly want.

2012 Billboard Music Awards Recap
If your a true lover of music then like me this past Sunday you were glued to the television watching the 2012 Billboard Music Awards, which took place in Las Vegas. This years award show was the main attraction because many people were looking forward to the Whitney Houston tribute featuring her daughter Bobbi Kristina. However before I touch on that tribute, I want to share some of my favorite looks from the red carpet.
The first look comes from Monica, I love this white dress on her and I love the hair. However, my favorite part of her entire outfit is her SHOES! I constantly walk around in high heels for practice, this will be me one day.
The next best outfit goes to Brandy, what I like most about this outfit is her shoes, hair and makeup. Most of all this look shows that she can be versatile and still look sexy. I can't wait until she starts working on promo for her new album, more hot outfits to come.
When I first seen Miley Cyrus's outfit the first thing I said was "a jacket and heels, really?". Then I looked at the outfit more and then I realized that she is all grown up and that this is actually a really nice high fashioned look. So this eventually became on of my favorites of the night.
My next favorite look went to Carrie Underwood, this look says Prom 2012 to me and I don't know if it's because my prom is this Friday that's why this was so appealing to me. However her gown was beautiful, her hair and makeup was perfect. She just looks like the perfect peach to me.
Although the red carpet looks were definitely the talk of the night, another topic of discussion was the tribute to Whitney Houston done by John Legend and Jordin Sparks. The most talked about part of the tribute was Jordin Sparks rendition of "I Will Always Love You". There were a few people who thought she sounded pretty bad, but I thought she did a good job. I thought she did a good job for the simple fact that she stuck to her range and delivered the song to the best of her ability. She was never a power house singer, so many people may have looked for her to belt out a Jennifer Hudson which was never going to happen. Therefore a kudos to Jordin Sparks is deserved in my opinion. It was also sweet that Bobbi Kristina was there to accept the Millenium Award on behalf of her mother, the award was created last year with Beyonce being the first recipient.
